On February 4th, The Red Hot Chili Peppers announced the release of their forthcoming double album “Unlimited Love”.  The album, produced by Rick Rubin, is set to be released on April 1st 2022 and also features the return of long time guitarist John Frusciante.  Unlimited Love is Frusciante’s first studio album with the band since 2006 and his return to the line up has Chili Peppers fans buzzing.

Flea again stretches out on this record with funky finger grooves on tunes like “Aquatic Mouth Dance,” “She’s a Lover” and “Poster Child,” syncopated pick playing on “Here Ever After” rolling melodic rock basslines on “The Great Apes” and groovy slap basslines like “It’s Only Natural.”

This record is a great mix of all of the things we’ve come to expect from RHCP over their more than 4 decades together and have John Frusciante back makes this one extra special.

The band also released their first single on Friday entitled “Black Summer”.  Take a look at the video below!
