Emeline Fougeray

French Bassist Émeline Fougeray
Bassist Émeline Fougeray was born in France and began playing music at the age of 7.  After starting on flute, Emeline picked up the bass at the age of 13.  It was while listening to the RHCP’s “Californication” album that she fell in love with this instrument.

Influenced by Flea, Marcus Miller, Bootsy Collins, MonoNeon, and so many others… she has developed her unique own style and has been made music her full time profession.

She has become an in demand bassist, backing many artists on stage and in studio sessions. Attracted by all styles of music, she has accompanied and continues to accompany many artists today, in France and all over the world.  She is frequently called upon to record bass lines for various projects.

While she can be seen performing on various basses her go to is a Road Worn Fiesta Red Fender Mexi Jazz Bass, her favorite bass!

Emeline is also endorsed by the German brand Maybach who make very beautiful vintage instruments (JB and PB).

She also has a partnership with Aguilar Amplification and can regularly be seen using their amplifiers and effects pedals.
